Future perfect?

There was a time when people in their 50's and 60's were'nt asked about what they wanted to do in the years ahead. It was more or less assumed that it was the final slog towards retirement, then a rather sedentary sort of life from then on...

These days, it is very much on the agenda, people are living longer and cannot face the possibility of doing 'nothing' in retirement - even if they can afford this option.

Infact, 'retirement' is quickly becoming a word which has little meaning now. Many people are talking about 'portfolio working', 'giving something back' or 'becoming a consultant'. Which is all fantastic, IF you know what you want to do in the first place.

For the happy few, it is easy to think of a second career or volunteering opportunity which will suit them perfectly and make for a happy and successful second half of life. For others, simply going through the motions of working to pay the bills and look after family members means they might have lost sight of what they are really good at and what makes them happy.

Encore Living has been created for people who want to find out what makes them tick and applying themselves in the most effective way possible. We also work with a fantastic range of advisers who can provide help with anything from financial planning to style and image consultancy. This is once we have helped you establish your successful second career, business, volunteering opportunity or desired further education course.

Sound perfect? We will try our best to make it so! For more information, contact Janet Harrison on 07793 749362 or follow the link via www.thevisionrepublic.co.uk
